On 10 September, Brazil’s Ministry of Labour and Employment announced mandatory re-registration in the new Worker Food Programme system, Novo PAT. The requirement covers beneficiary employers, suppliers, facilitators and nutritionists already registered in PAT.
What changes: Participants must re-enter their complete registration data using gov.br authentication. MTE states that the deadline is 9 November 2026 and warns that failure to comply will result in automatic removal from the programme’s register. Existing data cannot simply be migrated into the new system.
Practical action: Confirm which Brazilian entities hold PAT registrations, identify the person responsible for each submission and check their access now. Keep the completed registration and confirmation with the company’s benefits and compliance records. Do not assume that the meal-benefit provider will complete the employer’s registration.
The obligation concerns existing PAT participants, not every employer in Brazil. Companies removed for missing the deadline may apply again, subject to the new system’s rules. Re-registration should therefore be treated as a continuity control, not postponed until a registration is lost.
